Get to know the ten Venezuelan companies with the highest exports

Three export companies recorded declines in their numbers in 2011. At the end of this year, more auspicious results are expected.

The Venezuelan American Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Venamcham) announced the “Top Exporters” where the Venezuelan companies with the highest export amounts in 2011 were announced.

1.- Propylene from Falcón Profalca . The chemical products company heads the list, has been operating in the country for 15 years, and registered export earnings of Bs. 413.2 million (US$96M) in 2011, 80.87% more than the previous year.

2.- Pfizer from Venezuela . The company in the pharmaceutical sector has been in Venezuelan territory for 59 years, the income it has received from exports was Bs. 109.47 million (US$25.4M), an increase of 282.11% compared to 2010.

3.- Vensecar International . The transportation company has been operating in Venezuela for more than two decades, and recorded revenues of Bs. 88.63 million (US$20.6) in 2011, which represented an increase of 4.51% compared to 2010.

4.- Netuno . The telecommunications company recorded revenues of Bs. 24.42 million (US$5.6M) in 2011, an increase of 62.34% in contrast to the previous year.

5.- Clover International . It is Venezuela's leading company in comprehensive logistics, with 48 years of experience in the country, it had an export income of Bs. 18.20 million (US$4.2M), registering a drop of 49.17% compared to 2010 .

6.- Tubrica . The PVC pipe manufacturing company had revenues of Bs. 15 million (US$3.4M) in 2011, 117.78% more than in 2010.

7.- Venetel . Company specialized in offering advertising services (subsidiary of Editorial Televisa) registered exports of Bs. 7.8 million (US$1.8M), an increase of 0.28% compared to 2010.

8.- Lincoln Welding of Venezuela . Leader in the welding market in Venezuela, with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacture of special and common electrodes, it reported Bs. 4.8 million in exports in 2010, a drop of 15.69% compared to 2010.

9.- Zaramella & Pavan Construction . The company is a pioneer in industrial construction, pipe lining and line laying. For more than 50 years it has participated in the development of some of the most important projects in the oil industry in Venezuela, registering exports of Bs. 4 million.

10.- Avon Cosmetics from Venezuela . The company specialized in the manufacturing of cosmetic products, reported exports valued at Bs. 3.2 million in 2011, a drop of 13.19% compared to 2010.
