As the company has pledged global environmental commitments to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2040, the aforementioned media outlet stated that the project they will build in Chile "will primarily use air cooling, minimizing the use of water in its cooling systems."
Prasad Kalyanaraman, vice president of AWS Infrastructure Services, highlighted “the growing demand for cloud services” in the region.
