The vehicles will operate in Lima, Ica, Huacho, and Tacna, as part of the company's commitment to sustainability.

In a context where cities face increasing challenges due to air pollution, noise, and traffic congestion, electric transportation is emerging as a key solution.

According to the consulting firm Libélula, electric trucks not only eliminate CO₂ emissions, but also significantly reduce local pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and fine particles, improving air quality and respiratory health in densely populated areas.

In addition, they generate much less noise and allow for more efficient and safer logistics, facilitating deliveries closer to the point of sale and reducing traffic congestion.

In line with these benefits, and as part of its logistics modernization strategy and the adoption of cleaner technologies, Arca Continental in Peru, the exclusive bottler and marketer of Coca-Cola Peru products, announced the addition of 39 electric trucks to its distribution chain, reinforcing its commitment to cleaner and more efficient transportation.

The new fleet will be used to optimize routes in Lima, Ica, Huacho, and Tacna, consolidating a broader and more sustainable operation.

This addition represents a significant leap forward from the initial acquisition of four electric units in 2023.

"The integration of these vehicles marks a milestone in the evolution of our logistics operation. We are not only reducing CO₂ emissions, but also investing in technology that improves operational performance, reduces maintenance costs, and allows us to move toward a quieter, more efficient, and environmentally responsible distribution system," said Richard Fernández, Technical and Supply Chain Director at Arca Continental in Peru.

Among the new vehicles added, the BAW Car Reach model stands out, with a 1-ton payload capacity and marketed by Motormym, a company specializing in sustainable mobility solutions. Also added are the Cenntro E Van L7 units, with a 0.5-ton payload capacity, designed to optimize urban logistics operations.

“Our electric trucks stand out for their efficiency, low operating costs, and ideal range for the last mile. They incorporate long-lasting lithium-iron phosphate batteries and smart technology for sustainable management. We offer comprehensive electromobility solutions, with charging infrastructure and responsible practices that drive cleaner logistics and a smaller carbon footprint,” said Mario Remilla, general manager of Motormym Electric Vehicles.
