Petrobras and China National Chemical Energy Company sign memorandum of understanding

The agreement will last for two years and will be activated immediately with the joint analysis of the fertilizer and petrochemical assets.

Petrobras has signed a memorandum of understanding with the China National Chemical Energy Company (Cncec) that covers several areas, especially renewable energy and energy transition.

The association also provides for the evaluation of possible commercial agreements in the areas of oil exploration, production of fertilizers from natural gas and other sources, productive development, refining, biorefining and petrochemistry, engineering, construction and services, as well as research, development and innovation.

The agreement will last for two years and will be activated immediately with the joint analysis of the fertilizer and petrochemical assets.

In the last few hours, during a visit by the president of Brazil, Lula da Silva, to Colombia, the option of creating a clean energy project between Petrobras and the Colombian oil company Ecopetrol has been discussed.
